To seriously improve your underwater images the best combination is good equipment, a great location and solid advice from an experienced underwater photographer!

Treating themselves to an early Christmas present 11 divers joined Ikelite dealer David Haas of Haas Photography in December at Sunset House on Grand Cayman Island. Resorts with both boat diving and shore diving are ideal for underwater photographers. Practice makes perfect; the ability to repeatedly dive the same locations can help to polish your techniques.

Several shooters jumping into their first digital SLR systems received first hand tips and coaching from David and came home with some really cool photos to share with family and friends!

The fascinating photo at right came all the way from McMurdo Station, Antarctica courtesty of renowned underwater photographer Norbert Wu. As pictured, an Ikelite housing for the Nikon D200 is being used along with a Substrobe DS125 for time-lapse photography studies.
