SUGGESTIONS and PROCEDURES

The larger Hx and HR head represents an extremely dependable seal design. It is not necessary, but these lites will open and close easier with lubricant on the "O" ring. Be careful that the "O" ring is down in the bottom of the recess before closing.

The Hc head does NOT need lubricant on the "O" ring. The "O" ring must be positioned on the step of the clear lens where it will contact the lite body when closed, then place module COMPLETELY inside the ring cap.

The Hc should never leak if the "O" ring is between the lens and the body, and the cap is screwed down TIGHT. This instruction may get confused because other brands crack or break when over-tightened. The Hc MUST be tight, and is guaranteed NOT to break. The only other concern is the cap vibrating loose; check that it is tight before entering the water.

The "U" shape of the switch contact can be adjusted if a light will not turn on or off. Correct space between the "U" contact and the flat contact beneath it is about 3/32". The light will not turn on if this space is too great; and the light will not turn off if the contacts are touching.

The HR should not be operated out of the water for longer than five minutes to avoid destruction of the reflector. The ni-cad pack can be recharged in or out of the lite body. Do not completely discharge the batteries to avoid the possibility of one cell reversing polarity. Never store the batteries in a discharged condition. Recharge every sixty days if the lite has not been used.
