We need not comment on Ike's contribution to the diving community--a "google" search or quick scan of diving-related websites will make his impact abundantly clear. He affected the world through his products, his dedication, and his witty comments in e-mails and internet forums.

Ike's influence on our lives is much more difficult to summarize. His generosity towards his staff was of a level that few employees ever experience. He always had a seat in his office for anyone with something to say. He took us in when we needed work, loaned us money when times were tough, and kept us busy even when the order lines stopped ringing.

Ikelite is comprised of 80-some employees--nearly half of us have been here 10 years or longer. Many of our children grew up knowing Ike as the self-proclaimed "mean old man." Some visited the factory when they were little and now work here as adults. We work with our brothers, sisters, husbands, wives, and friends. We are truly a family mourning the loss of our patriarch.

Ikelite remains in the Brigham family with the same commitment to quality, innovation, and customer service. We are busy producing the products that so many divers have come to rely on, while putting the finishing touches on some exciting new products to introduce in the New Year.

Ike, we will miss your "infinite wisdomy"....................
