New Nikonos Connector
New Nikonos Connector that has proven so satisfactory since it was introduced in July of 1997. The black insulator section is .010" smaller for easier insertion, and the threaded section is turned in a special Delrin material to prevent corrosion or seizing.

The choice of a plastic for the threaded section sounds reckless, but the Delrin has proved to withstand any reasonable amount of abuse without failure. These new TTL cords can be used with the Nikonos III, IV, V, and RS cameras; and with most housings including Nexus, Sea & Sea, Subal, and Aquatica that feature a Nikonos style socket.
