The new JVC HD-10 Camcorder features a built-in 40GB hard drive that stores up to 16 hours HD recording.

The camera outputs a 1080 scanning line image at progressive 60fps so you can enjoy uncompromising picture quality on a TV that accepts 1080P input. In the XP mode, video is recorded at a high bit rate of 17.0 Mbps average. Compared to other systems using a lower bit rate, the resulting image offers higher quality with clearer visible details.

The HD lens of this camera was developed by camera specialist, KONICA MINOLTA, to ensure optimal lens performance for use with the CMOS image sensor and AVCHD recording technology.

In addition to point-and-shoot simplicity, HD Everio also offers a wide range of manual controls including Manual White Balance, Exposure Control, Sharpness Control, Shutter Priority, Aperture Priority and Brightness Control, and more.

This model is equipped with USB2.0 and HDMI digital interfaces on the camera. All the tools needed for editing and playback of Full HD content, as well as storage on DVD and Blu-ray disc. (Blu-ray disc drive is required for burning a Blu-ray disc.)

Molded of clear polycarbonate to provide seamless construction and corrosion proof performance. This "Clearly Superior" design provides full view of the camcorder, control functions, and assurance the system is safe up to 200 feet (60 meters). The housing with camera installed is very slightly negative in salt-water for stability.

The system's compact size and weight make it a breeze to travel with. A complete housing and camera combination weighs only about 8 pounds (3.6 kg). The housing with base and handle assembly measures only 11" (27cm) wide; 8" (20cm) high; and 8" (20cm) deep. The housing accommodates JVC VF-808U, VF-815U, and the VF-823U batteries.

The camera's large viewing screen can be seen easily through the housing back. All important camera controls are provided. White balance can be adjusted through the camera's menus.

The base removes instantly with a unique toggle clamp for traveling or attaching of the optional Pro Video-Lite 3 battery pack. The handle assembly detaches from the housing by removal of just two nuts for packing.

Included UR/Pro Color Filter provides color correction in tropical blue water with available sunlight up to 80 feet (24 meters). An optional filter #6441.81 is also available to achieve more natural tones in green water settings.
