Our 200DL Underwater Housings are designed for maximum flexibility to meet a photographer's needs. Starting with a Deluxe Housing Kit gives you a jump start with the most valuable accessories to make the most of your full frame mirrorless camera.
Why Choose the Deluxe Kit
- Don’t miss anything. You don’t want to get to your destination and realize you need something that you can’t get in time for the next dive.
- Save money. Buying in a bundle saves you dollars in comparison to purchasing each item a la carte and also reduces packaging waste.
- We set it up for you. The Deluxe Kit is ready for camera installation right out of the box.
Here’s Everything You Get:
+ Tray with Dual Handles
Every 200DL Underwater Housing comes standard with a Tray and Left-Hand Quick Release Handle. Balancing this out with a Right-Hand Quick Release Handle will make your system easier to handle both underwater and on the surface. A second handle is also essential as a secondary mounting point for lighting accessories.
+ Trigger Extensions
Our curved trigger levers provide ergonomic access to the shutter and AF-ON controls. On the base housing, these trigger levers hug the outer housing wall exactly where you would naturally be holding it with your right hand. In the Deluxe Kit, we add extensions to these levers to put the controls precisely at your fingertips when shooting with your right hand on the handle.
+ Vacuum Leak Detection System
The low-profile vacuum port and pump with gauge is the simplest and most reliable system of checking for leaks prior to entering the water. After you assemble the system, pull a vacuum on it using the pump with gauge. Then use the gauge to check again several minutes or hours later. If the pressure reading is the same, then your housing passes the test.
Leave the vacuum pulled on the housing when you go underwater. Diving with the housing under vacuum reinforces all of the closing mechanisms and makes it even more resilient to bumps and rough surf.
A vacuum test isn’t perfect. Vacuum systems only simulate the depth at one atmosphere (equivalent 33 feet or 10 meters). For example, small leaks due to a very fine hair across an o-ring may only leak at higher pressures. Vacuum systems do help you to avoid catastrophic leaks that cause major damage to your system.
+ USB-C Charging & Data Transfer Bulkhead
Charge your camera and download photos without removing it from the housing. Why do you need to do that? There’s are several reasons why photographers found our innovation was life changing and other manufacturers scrambled to copy it.
Here’s how it can improve your routine:
Charge on the boat in-between dives. This was impossible in the days when a camera needed to be removed from the housing to charge the battery. With the USB-C bulkhead, you can bring a spare power bank onto the boat for on-demand charging.
Reduce accidents. Every time you take a camera in and out of the housing, you run the risk of introducing dirt and debris into the o-ring seals.
Spend less time putting gear together. Use your extra time to sightsee, relax with friends, edit photos, or dive more!
+ Spare O-Rings
O-ring seals make the difference between a dry housing and an expensive fishbowl. It’s smart to have a set of spare seals on hand in case your o-rings were to be accidentally cut or damaged.
- NOT INCLUDED: Lens Port
The lens port attaches to the front of the housing and provides a window for your camera’s lens to see through. Your choice of lens port depends on the lens(es) that you’re using underwater. Refer to the appropriate port chart linked from the housing webpage to find the right port components for most popular lenses. Our port charts also link to reviews, assembly videos, and other important information about choosing a lens for underwater use.
- NOT INCLUDED: Lighting
Color is absorbed and lost as light travels through the water. Adding strobes or video lights to your system will enhance the colors, contrast, and clarity of your underwater photos and video. Learn when to add a strobe to your system.
- NOT INCLUDED: Equipment Insurance
Protect your investment with an equipment insurance policy that covers expenses in the event of accidental damage. Investigate insurance options in your area. Some popular methods of coverage in the USA are DAN Equipment Insurance or by adding a rider to your Homeowners policy.
