How to Accessorize the Olympus Tough TG-5, TG-6 Underwater System

1 | Underwater Housing for Olympus Tough TG-5, TG-6

2 | Trigger Extension

Extends the housing's shutter release for comfortable operation when using a right hand quick release handle. Product # 4077.95

3 | Action Tray II Extension with Right Handle

Having a dual tray and handle system makes it easier handle your system, provides better balance when shooting video, and makes a second attachment point for adding external lighting. This item requires the use of the Action Tray II with Left Handle. Product # 2605.05

4 | Action Tray II with Left Handle

A tray with handle is essential for adding lighting and improves handling above and below water. Product # 2605.04

 

5 | WD-3 Wide Angle Dome

A Wide Angle Dome provides a wider angle of view underwater, which is essential for getting closer to your subject for bright, vibrant shots. This is the lightest and sharpest option for a removable wide angle lens, but also the narrowest angle of coverage. Product # 6430.3

6 | INON UWL-H100 M67 Wide Angle Lens with Dome Unit

A wide angle "wet lens" like the INON UWL-H100 will give you the widest field of view. These wide angle conversion lenses can be quite heavy and will have some softness and vignetting (dark shadows around the corners of the image). INON lens not manufactured or sold by Ikelite.

7 | DC1 6" Dome Port

 The DC1 Dome Port is a super simple option for a fixed port. It provides a wider angle of coverage comparable to the WD-3. This dome is essential for shooting over-unders (half-in, half-out of the water) and does not interfere with your ability to shoot super macro. Product # 6401

8 | UR/PRO Filter for Tropical Blue Water

A color correcting filter can add back some of the reds, oranges, and yellows that are otherwise lost when you go underwater. Useful in sunny, shallow conditions when you're not using an external strobe. This filter is a press fit onto the front of the housing's lens port. Product # 6441.41

9 | UR/PRO Filter for Green Water

This filter has a more purple hue to give more natural skin tones when shooting in green salt and fresh water settings. Product # 6441.81

10 | Spare Rear O-Ring

This is what keeps your housing waterproof and traveling with a spare is essential. You never know when your o-ring may get nicked, stretched, or even lost. Product # 0132.45

11 | Microfiber Sunglass Pouch

This could also be used to hold small parts, a flashlight, candy... you name it. Made out of soft, lint-free microfiber it doubles as a lens cleaning cloth that you can keep with your dive gear. Product # 0945.07

14 | Flex Arm for DS51

This flexible "pop bead" style arm is lightweight and well suited for smaller strobes like the DS51. Product # 4087.21

15 | Fiber Optic Cord

A multi-core fiber optic cable for optimum transmission of the camera's built-in flash to an external strobe for triggering. Compatible with Ikelite, SEA&SEA, and Olympus strobes and any other strobe using the same type of fiber optic connection. Product # 4501

16 | RC1 TTL Receiver for DS Strobes

This should be #1 on the list because it's one of the best ways to get sharp, colorful photos with the TG-5 or TG-6 camera underwater. The RC1 allows the camera to communicate directly with the strobe for fast and accurate TTL strobe exposure. Other "TTL" systems require workarounds and still don't work quickly or reliably. 17 | DS51 Strobe

If you're looking for a compact, lightweight strobe, this is it. The DS51 provides perfect automatic exposure when used with the RC1 TTL Receiver and runs on 4 AA batteries. Product # 4044.1

18 | DS161 Strobe
