DL1 DS Link Nikon TTL Converter Underwater Photos

We pioneered underwater TTL flash exposure for DSLR cameras and the DL1 DL Link represents the latest iteration of our world renowned Nikon TTL flash circuitry. 

All photos were taken in Bonaire with the 200DL Housing for Nikon D850 DSLR # 71015, DL1 DS Link Nikon TTL Converter # 46054, Nikon 105mm Macro and Nikon 8-15mm Fisheye lenses, and two Ikelite DS161 strobes.

TTL exposure allows you to concentrate on focus and framing - two critical elements of super macro photography.

It would be impossible to manually dial two strobes down in intensity quickly enough as a fast-moving subject like this turtle approaches; TTL is the only guaranteed way to capture the shot.

Highly reflective subjects in bright ambient light can be very tricky for manual or TTL flash exposure.

In wide angle settings, adjust your aperture and shutter speed to properly expose the background and rely on the DL1 Link to adjust your strobes for perfect exposure of the foreground.
