I’ve been around cameras all my life due to my father's photographic passion, but began taking photographs seriously as a teenager in the 80's taking photos of bands in the clubs of London.
I learned to dive in the Philippines and was traveling extensively around the world in the late 90’s. It was an obvious and natural progression to combine my love of the sea and photography and I began to take photos underwater. Ikelite has always been my housing of choice since those early days.
Having dived all over the world, Egypt has become my spiritual home and the Red Sea never never fails to amaze and surprise me.
Specializing in ultra wide ambient light photography, my images hang in countless homes in countries and continents around the world and have been published in magazines internationally. I regularly shoot promotional videos for various dive operations around the world.
I became a Panasonic LUMIX ambassador in 2017.
It's fair to say that I'm far more influenced by cinematographers and directors rather than photographers and as such my images have an almost cinematic feel to them. The underwater work of Luc Besson was a big influence on me and probably my inspiration for my monochrome underwater images.
Shooting video as well as stills I'm excited by the incredible developments in the video world that is allowing me shoot underwater footage that was unthinkable just a few years ago.
