Update Kit for Canon EOS R5 II in Canon EOS R5 Underwater Housing
The new Canon EOS R5 II is not a direct fit in the 200DL Underwater Housing for Canon EOS R5 (Mark I) # 71764. There are differences between the camera's thickness which prevents the use of the newer camera in the existing housing.
VIDEO: How to Use the Canon R5 II in a Canon R5 Underwater Housing
To use the newer Canon EOS R5 II in the Housing # 71764 it is necessary to replace the camera mount and housing back. This kit includes these two items. This installation does not support use of the R5 II power on/off switch. We recommend use of the camera's power save functions to conserve battery life when using the R5 II in the R5 housing. The new 200DL Underwater Housing for the Canon EOS R5 II provides improved ergonomics with the R5 II camera and accesses this important control.
This update is non-destructive. The original Canon EOS R5 (Mark I) can continued to be used in the housing with the original camera mount and back.
Camera mounts and backs are NOT interchangeable. To avoid damage to your camera or limited operation, is important to use the correct mount and back with the correct camera.
